Planning
Building and Safety
Housing
The Development Services Department oversees the orderly growth of the community though implementation of the City's General Plan, Zoning and Building Regulation, and through its many housing programs. The Department is divided into several divisions including Planning, Building, and Housing.
Planning
The Planning Division actively promotes land use development standards by advancing the policies and programs of the General Plan through a business friendly approach.
Building and Safety
The Building and Safety Division monitors the City's Municipal Code and responds to resident building concerns while reviewing plans and inspecting building projects.
Housing
The Housing Division utilizes Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to improve residential neighborhoods and provide affordable housing units in the community. Housing also monitors a Senior Paint/ Fix Up program to maintain the exterior appearance of homes occupied by low income senior residents.
