Q. How do I get a Yard/Garage Sale permit?

A. Visit the Cashier's window at City Hall, fill out a Yard/Garage Sale application and pay a $10.00 fee for a two (2) day permit.

Note: Yard sale permits will only be issued to the person who resides at the address of the yard sale. Proper identification must be presented showing the address. Proper identification is defined as a valid California Driver License or California ID. If the address on the applicant's identification is not the same as the address applied for, a current utility bill in the name of the applicant resident showing that address must be provided before a yard sale permit will be issued. Other permit arrangements may be made by contacting Code Enforcement at: (562) 904-2392. Complete Garage Sale regulations are contained on the back of the Display Permit issued to the resident at the time the permit is issued. If you decide to conduct a Garage Sale please read these regulations carefully.
