| | The Zoning Code describes various types of zoning districts and land use classifications, land use regulations, development standards, and environmental performance standards. The Zoning Code’s purpose is to protect and promote the public’s health, safety, and general welfare, and to implement the policies of the comprehensive General Plan.
The on-line code is updated periodically after the Council adopts an amendment to the Zoning Code. To check to see if there are recent changes, please contact the Planning Division. How do I view and print the Zoning Map?
The City of Downey zoning map is available for download in Adobe portable document format. You must have Adobe Reader software installed on your computer to view and/or print the map. Zoning map is available for purchase at $30 per 24" x 36" print sized. You can order a zoning map by visiting the Planning counter or telephone our information line at (562) 904-7154
