Green Task Force

History

In April 2009, an inagural Green Task Force was appointed by the City Council of the City of Downey. Their task was to examine, as thoroughly as possible, the myriad environmental concerns that are pertinent to the City of Downey, including the relationship between the City’s practices and the broader community. At the conclusion of their work in June 2010, members presented a Green Task Force Final Report to the City Council. The creation of a permanent Green Task Force was among their important recommendations. Members are appointed by the City Council.
