Forensic Unit
Forensic Specialists work in conjunction with Police Officers and Detectives on crime scene investigations and they are primarily engaged in the forensic identification, investigation and recovery of evidence. The Unit is comprised of one Forensic Supervisor, three Forensic Specialists, and one Forensic Intern.

This Unit is responsible for searching, collecting and preserving physical and biological evidence.  Among other duties, they photograph and video tape crime scenes, perform various analytical techniques such as chemical processing and analysis of latent prints, process evidence for DNA collection, and Forensic video and audio reconstruction.

All Forensic Specialists are court certified latent print examiners. They testify on fingerprint analysis as well as evidence collection at crime scenes.
