Downey, CA, December 18, 2014: Downey residents may be receiving a phone call from Telephone Surveyors representing the City regarding their use of parks and recreation programs, facilities and services.
The City of Downey is currently working with RJM Design Group to develop a Parks and Open Space Master Plan, which will serve as a guide and implementation tool for the management and development of Downey parks and recreation facilities. Answering the questions in the survey will allow the City’s Parks and Recreation Department to accurately understand the types of facilities, programs and services needed by City residents.
The community-wide telephone survey is an essential public planning tool that helps provide a valid representation of the City as a whole. The goal of this survey is to generate unbiased and accurate data regarding the public’s need for recreation facilities and programs specific to the City of Downey.
Telephone calls to Downey residents began on December 17, 2014 and will continue through December 23, 2014. Calls will be made in the early afternoon until 9:00 p.m. For questions regarding the Parks & Open Space Master Plan telephone survey, please call the City at 562-904-7108.
