On Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 09:19 hours, Downey Engines 64, 63, 61, Truck 611, Squad 642, and Battalion 604 responded to reported smoke inside the Victoria's Secret store at the Stonewood Mall. Upon arrival, Engine 61 reported visible smoke inside Unit 419. Using their thermal imaging camera, Engine 61 attempted to locate the source of the smoke, while Truck 611 laddered the roof. The source of the smoke was determined to be a faulty Air Conditioning (A/C) unit. Deputy Fire Marshal Croom responded to location to follow-up with mall engineering regarding the problem.
