Tennis Court Reservations
Tennis courts may be reserved for up to two hours for one court per reservation (total of eight reservable lighted courts) and may be made up to seven days in advance. Reservations are taken Monday thru Thursday from 5pm- 8pm at the Tennis Center. Fee is $5 an hour and must be paid at the time the reservation is made.
The courts are closed for cleaning on Friday morning. Lights are turned off at 10:00 pm, Monday – Friday and 8:00 pm on weekends.
Tennis Lessons
Tennis lessons are offered year round. Classes are directed by Christian Choi. Christian is a certified USPTA Professional who was formerly ranked in Jr. and Men’s Open in Southern California. Mr. Choi delivers in depth instruction with 15 years of teaching experience. He has also competed in NCAA Division 1 for UC Santa Barbara and participated in ATP Satellite Pro Tour.

Tennis Club
The Downey Tennis has been in existence over 40 years and for a $25 annual membership fee, offers competitive, yet fun tennis in a comfortable environment. The club meets twice a week at the Independence Park Tennis Courts as well as off-site for social events throughout the year. Additional Tennis Courts at Furman Park
Furman Park also has four lighted non-reservable (available on a first come first served basis) Tennis Courts available from sunirse to 10pm daily, 10419 Rives Avenue.
