If you answered yes to any of those questions and you are at least in middle school, then the Volunteer Program is for you! The opportunities are endless within the city hall's various departments such as: Planning, Engineering, and Finance. You could also be assigned to work at: a park site or an ASPIRE Afterschool site. There are minimal fees and occasional meetings throughout the year. Please read the Volunteer Interest Form for additional requirements. Opportunities available:
Middle School Students: Are able to participate as a Volunteer at local park sites during Safe Place to Play Programs year round, all city wide special events, and/or Summer Day Camps as a C.I.T. (not including Adventures in Sports).
High School Students: Are able to participate as a Volunteer at ASPIRE program sites (School sites include: Ward, Williams, Alameda, Price, Lewis, Unsworth, Gauldin, Carpenter, Old River, West, Griffiths, or Sussman), assist at City Hall, Summer Day Camps as a C.I.T., and/or all city wide special events.
Adults: Are able to participate as a volunteer at ASPIRE program sites (School sites include: Ward, Williams, Alameda, Price, Lewis, Unsworth, Gauldin, Carpenter, Old River, West, Griffiths, or Sussman) and/or city wide special events. Individuals 18 years and older must go through a background screening and fingerprinting before an assignment is made.
