The Social Services Division is responsible for the administration of the City’s Transit Services including the Dial-A-Ride Program and the DowneyLink fixed route bus system.

This Division is responsible for coordinating activities for pre-school age, community and senior special events, Volunteens, aquatics program, summer camps, excursions, summer concerts, Travel Film Series, community fee-based classes, the Barbara J. Riley Community & Senior Center (BJR) programs and facility rentals.

The Social Services Manager is responsible for the overall operations of this Division and the Manager’s office is located at the Barbara J. Riley Community & Senior Center.
