Preparation for school is the focus of these 16-week sessions.  Numbers and alphabet recognition, developing the attention span, small motor skills, learning to follow instructions, crafts, and music and community awareness is the curriculum for this popular program. Birth certificates and immunization records are required at registration even if these documents have been required for other classes.   Child must be potty trained, no pull-ups and speak English. Parent participation is required at least once a month on a pre-determined date; parents will not be allowed to attend otherwise.  Classes are held on a continuum from the fall season through the spring season.  Children must be registered for the fall as well as the spring seasons.

Registration Process

Due to the popularity and demand, a random selection process for class registration will be utilized and held at the Barbara J. Riley Community & Senior Center in September.  Registration will be taken through the season as long as space permits.      Please check the Community Services Guide for more specific information as this information is not all-inclusive.

 * No classes are held on City Holidays*
