||Story Time for Babies and Toddlers|
Join us for baby and toddler reading and listening fun with stories, rhymes, songs and finger plays. We will share Eric Carle's The Very Ready Reading Program for children from birth to 24 months. Experience his 7 Days - 7 Ways philosophy of re-reading fund with your babies and toddlers. Our program is for individual children ages 0 to 2 years old and their parents/caregivers (no groups or schools, please). There will not be a Story Time on Saturday, October 18.

||Converstions with Duffy Hudson|
Duffy Hudson will lead an exciting and spirited conversation on Karl Marlantes' best-selling work of narrative non-fiction entitled "What It is Like to Go to War". Through the use of dramatic passages from the book, Duffy will lead conversation designed to learn about what it takes to serve your country in war. This is an opportunity to bring our community, veterans and non-veterans alike, together to share their thoughts and feelings about what it means to go to war.

Join us every Tuesday morning for a fun reading experience. We will read stories, sing songs, dance, play, and have a great time. This program is for individual children ages 3 to 5 years old and their parents/caregivers (no groups or schools, please).

Come discover six pre-reading skills your child can start learning now. Early literacy skills are what children know about reading and writing before they can actually read and write. Parents are their child's first teacher and research shows that children get ready to read years before they start school. Register at the Adult Information Desk or call (562) 904-7360, ext. 132.
