10:30  AM Preschool Story Time
It is never too early to introduce your children to books.  Reading is a magical experience and Story Time  is a great start.  The stories and activities encourage a love of books and promote the library as an enjoyable place for the entire family.  Join us every Tuesday morning for stories, songs, and fun.  For individual children ages 3 to 5 years old and their parents/caregivers (no groups please).

The Downey City Library offers free, confidential reading help for adults who need to learn to read better.  We need volunteers to be trained as tutors.  Volunteers will need 10 hours of training on a variety of tutoring techniques.
