Join us for an evening of high intrigue with Downey native, author Ann Mauer. Ms. Mauer will discuss her biography of millionaire inventor, Mr. Milon J. Trumble, and we’ll learn of his involvement with early petroleum, shale, world governments and secret societies. This novel showcases 1920's intrigue where inventors, entrepreneurs and governments raced to develop new ideas.

Join us for a cup of free hot wassail punch while enjoying our marketplace of handmade crafts, Fall and Christmas decorations, baked goodies, stocking stuffers, decorating and holiday craft books, and quality recycled gifts and treasures. The inaugural contest held in celebration of National Library Week was open to adults ages 18-plus had for its theme, "Picture This! Downey Reads!"
Winners:

- Bill Rademaker
Cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50 were awarded to the winners.
Contest judges: George Redfox and Larry Latimer.
