Other than emergency work, no construction, repair or remodeling shall take place between the hours of 9:00 p.m. of one day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day.

The Code counter is open Monday-Friday from 7:30-5:30.

If you feel a vehicle is illegally parked in the street you can contact Downey Police Department at (562)904-2363, the Code Enforcement Division will only address any illegally parked vehicles parked on private property.

The Environmental Health Division of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is responsible for ensuring that residential housing is safe, sanitary, and fit for human habitation. This is accomplished through Routine Inspections of rental property with 5 and/or more units, and investigations of complaints involving any housing sites. Trash containers can be put out 6:00PM the day before pick up and must be removed by 1:00AM the on the day following the regularly schedule collection day.

Call Athens at (562)-259-1239 ext. 244 at least one day prior to their collection day to schedule this special pick-up.
