Small Business Month Workshops
In recognition of Small Business Month this May, the City of Downey is hosting free workshops to equip small businesses and entrepreneurs with the knowledge to launch their businesses, access funding, and leverage valuable workforce resources. Workshops include:
• Starting a Business – May 14 [REGISTRATION FULL]
• Access to Capital – May 21
• Workforce Resources – May 28

Downey was selected based on criteria such as commitment to economic development; excellence in programs and services designed to facilitate business entry, expansion, and retention; competitive business tax rates and fee structures; availability of economic incentives; and effective communication with and about business clients.
