ASTRO Program - Achieving Success Through Recreational Opportunities
The City of Downey is proud to offer adaptive recreational opportunities for participants ages 10+. This is a great way for individuals with special needs to be able to participate in activities as well as connect socially with one another. Participants will work closely with recreation staff and be supervised during activities/events on a 1:5 staff to participant ratio.

Join us for our new adaptive recreation club! We will meet every Tuesday of the month for a different craft/activity in the Wilderness Park Activity Room. Sign up monthly!
Excursions/Dances/Pop-Up Events
We will be hosting a special event once per month! Open our monthly calendars or visit ActiveNet to see what is offered this season!
