The City of Downey’s public transit system, DowneyLINK, operates Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm with four circulating routes. All routes begin and end at the Downey Depot Transportation Center located at 8150 Nance Street (one block south of Firestone Blvd. off Downey Avenue). Between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. the Downey Link will offer modified routes with the Northwest and Northeast combining into just the NORTH route and the Southeast and Southwest combining into just the SOUTH route. The fare is .50 cents a ride with free transfers to the other DowneyLINK routes when transfers are sequential. Riders may transfer from one DowneyLINK route to another—ask the Driver for a transfer. (Note: MTA transfers or passes are not accepted on DowneyLINK and DowneyLINK transfers are not valid for use on MTA vehicles.) 30-Use Bus Tickets available beginning Monday, August 1, 2011. Green Line Access
