Help Keep Our Community Safe

Get Involved!

The City of Downey's Neighborhood Watch program encourages residents to look out for one another and report suspicious activity to the Police Department. Not only does it help reduce crime in neighborhoods, but it also forms bonds among area residents and improves relations between communities and police.

Help stop crime in your neighborhood by joining Neighborhood Watch!

Here is what you can expect:

  • Meet a Downey Police Officer
  • Learn how to make your neighborhood a safer place
  • Get an update on crime trends in your neighborhood
  • Get to know your neighbors
  • Share your concerns

For more information on the program, or to help start a group in your area, please call the Police Department's Neighborhood Watch Coordinator, Jenny Aguirre, at 562-904-2374, or email your requests to
