Welcome to the City of Downey Public Works Department's Web Site. The Administration Office of the Public Works Department directs the operations of the four divisions which comprise Public Works. The office also coordinates the long range planning and development for the Department, and provides assistance and support to the City Council and the City Manager on professional, technical, and citizen related concerns. Major contracts for construction work and professional services are administered through this office. Administration staff maintain records for the departmental projects and provide purchasing support for Public Works Divisions.
