The Facility Maintenance Section maintains and repairs all City‑owned buildings and facilities, including City Hall, the Police Station, Library, Civic Theatre, Columbia Memorial Space Center, Transit Center, Downtown Parking Structure, community centers, gyms, activity buildings, and park restrooms. The section also manages the City’s proactive graffiti abatement program and works with the Police Department on enforcement. Staff perform skilled carpentry, drywall, painting, and minor plumbing and electrical work, support City departments, and assist with special event setup. They also conduct regular inspections of playground equipment and replace components as needed.
