What is a FanZone?

For the first time, the City of Downey will host an official Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zone, bringing one of the world’s largest sporting events directly to its community. Rooted in one of the most culturally diverse regions of Los Angeles County, the Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zone at the City of Downey will be a FREE community event for thousands of soccer fans to enjoy.

The Fan Zone will feature an opening ceremony, large viewing area, entertainment, soccer exhibition, art walk, interactive booths, food vendors and a beer garden.

Is there an age limit/rule?

No, the Fan Zone is family friendly and open to all ages.

Staying Comfortable:

The Fan Zone is an outdoor event. We recommend wearing sunscreen, hats, and staying hydrated.

I'm a member of the media? How do I make arrangements for a media pass?

Are you hiring workers, volunteers, photographers/videographers, etc. for the event?

No, but we appreciate your interest! If any changes are made, we will post about it.

Can I distribute flyers or promotional items inside the venue? What about outside?

No, no outside promotional items or marketing will be allowed inside or near the Fan Zone event grounds.

How do I become a food vendor ... or a non-food vendor?

All vendors have been sourced. If any changes are made, we will post about it.

Can I sell my [insert stuff] I want to sell] in the parking lots, Fan Zone area or venue?

No. Only approved and permitted vendors are allowed to vend at the Fan Zone.

Capacity Limits

Organizer will undertake commercially reasonable efforts to admit all Ticket Holders to the Event. However, admission is subject to venue and Event capacity limits and applicable governmental restrictions. Entry is not guaranteed and early arrival is recommended. Organizer may restrict or stagger entry times, implement reservation or queue systems, or otherwise manage attendance to comply with capacity and safety requirements.

No Guarantee of Reentry or Specific Access. Reentry, seating, sightlines, and access to specific areas or activities are not guaranteed and may be limited or modified at Organizer’s discretion.

What tickets are available?

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets are available here.

Will tickets be digital?

Yes, tickets will be digital. Please have your QR code ready and your phone brightness turned up at the entrance.

Is Re-entry allowed?

Re-entry is permitted throughout the day, provided that you do not remove your official event wristband.

Who needs a VIP ticket?

Every guest entering the VIP area, including children of all ages, must have a paid VIP ticket.

What is included in the VIP ticket?

  • Everything in General Admission
  • Dedicated VIP viewing area with a large LED screen, Live DJ, Master of Ceremonies, and Musical Performances, including Open Ceremony, Vilma Diaz y La Sonora  (formerly La Sonora Dinamita) (3:30pm) and Ozomatli (7:20pm) 
  • Premium seating and shaded lounge area with comfortable chairs and couches
  • Exclusive bar access (food and beverage available for purchase)
  • VIP-only restroom trailers
  • Swag Bag:
    • Food Voucher
    • Commemorative lanyard 
    • Commemorative shirt
    • Coca-Cola bottle
    • Spirit pom poms
    • Hydration packets

Can I switch VIP time slots after I ordered my packages?

Sorry, there is no way to switch VIP time slots.

I bought passes from another site or person. How can I verify that they're valid?

Only VIP packages originally purchased through the event's official ticketing listing on Eventbrite (here) can be guaranteed as valid.

Can I get a refund for my VIP package?

As a reminder, all sales are final, no refunds.

What Can I Bring?

Will there be a bag policy?

To provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite fan entry, the Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zone at City of Downey will implement a strict Clear Bag Policy.

  • Each person can bring one (1) clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag not exceeding 12” x 6” x 12”, or a one-gallon clear plastic storage bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, guests may also carry in a small clutch bag or purse approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.
  • An exception may be made for medical needs, special needs, or infant care items after proper inspection. Please call 562-904-72841 or email adacoordinator@downeyca.org prior to the event.

  • NO Video Cameras

* In the event of a medical emergency, please go to the first-aid medical tent or find a staff member with a radio.

Are strollers allowed in the venue?

Yes. But, only if it’s for an infant or toddler.

Are blankets allowed in the venue?

Yes. Blankets must be kept within your immediate seating area and should be folded up when not in use to keep pathways clear.

What are considered "professional" cameras? What cameras are OK?

Professional cameras such as DSLRs, bridge cameras or any devices with detachable lenses are not allowed.

Cameras can be refused at security discretion upon entry.

Non-Professional cameras such as film photo cameras (analog photography), disposable, point-and-shoot, cell phones or polaroids are OK.
