The City of Downey invites residents to nominate individuals who exemplify outstanding community service, leadership, and dedication to improving the quality of life in our city. The Mayor’s Outstanding Citizen Award recognizes those who go above and beyond to make Downey a better place for all.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nominees must be residents of Downey.
  • Nominees should demonstrate exceptional service, leadership, or contributions to the community.
  • Nominees cannot currently hold an elected or appointed office within the City of Downey.

Nomination Deadline:

Nominations are ongoing, and honorees will be selected two to three weeks before a council meeting.
